It was a display of golden hearts for the golden batch of Bb Pilipinas Queens, as Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida and Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago returned to Capiz to give hope during the recent Capiztahan Festival.
Following the wake of Yolanda in November 2013, Arida and Santiago went to Capiz to volunteer, donate relief goods and comfort typhoon victims. Months later, the beauty queens followed through with their outreach to the community by supporting the launch of various projects for livelihood, culture and arts and boosting the locals' morale led by NGO OneCapiz.
Ariella and Bea, together with Mar Roxas led the festival-goers and the media to enjoy the Heritage Walk at the Capiz Plaza. The walk highlighted Capiz' rich culture, with interactive displays of native handicrafts and local costumes. The ladies then led the gallery opening of memorabilia from National Artist of the Philippines for theater and Film, Daisy Hontiveros-Avellana.

The main highlight of the Capiztahan was the evening variety show which featured original song and dance compositions by young local artists. Bea and Ariella moved the crowd by sharing their experiences during their outreach in Capiz and shared encouraging messages.
In Filipino, Ariella shared, "Yolanda happened as I was competing for the Miss Universe in Russia. The news of all the people getting devastated by the typhoon really affected me, but I had wanted to offer my fight for the crown to all those who suffered, to bring hope to our country."
Bea added "I brought my experiences from Capiz to the Miss International pageant, and it was my winning speech of thanks for the support of the world for Yolanda that moved judges and made me win. We are very thankful to see a Capiz that has withstood the typhoon, and it just proves to show the world how resilient and strong Capizenos and Filipinos are."
