Philippine bet Ann Lorraine Colis wins Miss Globe 2015
It is again another celebratory moment for Filipinos worldwide as Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis emerged as winner of the Miss Globe 2015 pageant held October 8 at the Rose Theatre Brampton in Toronto, Canada.
Ann Colis, 22, of Mexico Pampanga is the first Filipina to win the international title, besting 32 other global candidates. Other winners in Miss Globe are representatives from Albania, first runner-up; Macedonia, second runner-up; China, third-runner up; and France, fourth runner-up.
First among Binibining Pilipinas queens to compete abroad, this is also the first time for Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) to join the said pageant.
During the finals, our Pinay bet was a complete standout, from swimsuit and evening gown competition to the question and answer portion.
Ann also looked stunning in her Ibong Adarna-inspired pearl beaded terno made with a hand painted full skirt by local designer John Cliff during the national costume competition.
Newly-crowned Colis could not but be grateful for the immense support she received from Filipinos here and abroad throughout the competition.
“From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank everyone, my family, friends, and all Filipinos especially my fellow Kapampangans for rooting for me. It was your overwhelming love and support that gave me the strength and motivation to win. This is our victory! Maraming Salamat po. #labANNpilipinas,”Ann enthused.
Ann Lorraine Colis who stands 5’7 is a BS Management graduate at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila.
